Steered Straight Never Uses Sex Offenders

Because of all the recent media attention on sex-offenders, and because of our concern about our message being properly received, we felt it necessary to state our position on
our messengers.
|
Steered Straight never has and never will use as a speaker, an ex-offender who has any charges against children or any charges of a sexual nature.
|
Because our audiences are mostly students, we are extremely sensitive about our message, and therefore we are equally sensitive about our messengers.
|
No one on our staff or in our employ has had any sex-related charges or any charges against a child.
|
Our messages about substance abuse, criminal activity, gangs, and the consequences of involvement in these sub-cultural choices are delivered by successfully acclimated ex-offenders.
|
These speakers have gone through real-life experiences. Some have shocking stories. Some have served many years in prison.
|
But none of our speakers have any offences, in their complete history, of a sexual nature or against children.
