  • www.ncjrs.org - This site, run by the National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS), is one of the best and most informative sites you will ever visit. It is a federally-sponsored information clearinghouse for people involved with research, policy, and practice related to criminal and juvenile justice and drug control. As such, it has both national and international appeal.


  • www.smartrecovery.org - This site is very informative and beneficial for parents and educators, especially when it comes to dealing with youth and adults alike in matters of substance abuse, smoking, alcohol abuse, and addictive behaviors of all kinds. SMART Recovery® is an abstinence-based, not- for-profit organization with a sensible self-help program for people having problems with drinking and using. It includes many ideas and techniques to help you change your life from one that is self-destructive and unhappy to one that is constructive and satisfying. They teach common sense self-help procedures designed to empower you to abstain and to develop a more positive lifestyle. When you succeed at following their approach, you may graduate from the program, or you may stay around to help others.


  • www.ssw.upenn.edu/CSYP - Founded in 1983, the Center for the Study of Youth Policy's (CSYP) main goal is to have a major impact on the issues and systems affecting children and youth, including the juvenile justice system, the child welfare system, and systems for children's health and mental health. As an applied research center, CSYP uses a multi-disciplinary approach to produce information about the problems facing children and youth systems, and to frame the debate and advocate for solutions to these problems through planning, research, public discussion and systems redesign.


Drug Resources
The following sites provide substantial anti-drug information, and are also strongly recommended.


  • www.pta.org/commonsense - Here the visitor will find strategies for raising drug-free and alcohol-free children. It is developed and run by the National Parent Teachers Association (PTA).

  • www.health.org - SAMHSA's National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information. This is a service of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), which is a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It is very in-depth and informative.

  • www.addictionresourceguide.com - This is a very comprehensive directory of addiction treatment facilities.


  • www.whitehousedrugpolicy.gov - This is the website of The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). The agency is a component of the Executive Office of the President, and was established by the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1988. The principal purpose of ONDCP is to establish policies, priorities, and objectives for the Nation's drug control program. The goals of the program are to reduce illicit drug use, manufacturing, and trafficking, drug-related crime and violence, and drug-related health consequences. This site will provide you with a plethora of information, educational resources, and facts about our nation's #1 health problem: Substance Abuse.


Promiscuous Lifestyle Resources
The following sites provide substantial facts and information about the state of our children's attitudes and opinions regarding living a promiscuous lifestyle.


  • www.childrenofthenight.org - This is the web site of "Children of the Night" which is a privately-funded non-profit organization established in 1979. They are dedicated to assisting children between the ages of 11-17 who are sexually abused and forced to prostitute on the streets for food to eat and a place to sleep. Since 1979, they have rescued over 10,000 boys and girls from prostitution. Over 80% of these children have stayed off the street and are not dependent on criminal activity.
