Children in foster care are given a court appointed advocate. These individuals are usually social workers or attorneys however, it is important to note that these individuals don’t HAVE to be attorneys or social workers.
A child is brought into foster care when their parents are unable to provide a safe and stable environment for them.
Fostering is not for everyone but it is WORTH IT! The good, bad, and ugly is worth it to help a child regardless of if they remain permanently in or home or return home to biological parents.
The short answer is, ABSOLUTELY NOT! Every single case involving a child in foster care is unique for many reasons.
