Silhouette on road infront of sunset

I have been thinking a lot about the importance of surrounding myself with people with goals and integrity. A pastor once told me “Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future.” I wish I would have heard that message in my youth. What can I say, some of us are slow learners! It is a universal law that what you put in will be what comes out. This applies to what and who we surround ourselves with. I used to have a spirit of inferiority and fear that stopped me from being around people who I thought were better than me. Expanding my comfort zone has been huge for me. I look for people who have what I want. I am talking about ambition, drive, positive attitudes, the passion to help and encourage others. We only keep what we have by giving it away.

If I constantly feed my spirit and surround myself with people who spread a message of hope than surely, I will be on the same path. Jesus talked about friendship. John 15:13 No one has a greater love than this: to lay down his life for his friends. Jesus is the best friend I have. He can be your best friend, too! If you want to start by evaluating your earthly friends, that is fine. We are all on different journeys that hopefully lead to the same destination. I want to encourage you to surround yourself with people who care about you and where you are headed.
