Miss Ohio HSA 2020

Jade Eilers is a Morton Finney Scholarship recipient promoting Diversity, Inclusion, and Leadership at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She is also a pageant competitor.  She has held state titles in the High School America system, Miss Teen International system, placing top 5 in the world and was the National Jr. Teen Captivating winner.  She has also placed 2^nd runner up in a state Teen USA pageant. Her titles have given her an international audience for her advocacy called “Mindset Matters.”

She has spoken to entire school districts, youth conferences, wellness fairs, mental health professional groups, and Leaders & Dignitaries from all over the world sharing her testimony, breaking myths, influencing lawmakers, and collectively asking as many people as she can to take the Drug Free Pledge alongside her.  She is highly acclaimed for her work in Drug Prevention having received 2 Resolutions, the ADAPAO Youth Excellence Award, an International Drug Free Hero Award, has been given the Presidential Service Award twice as well as being a Prudential Spirit of Community designee and an Equitable Excellence scholar.

You can see her talking about drug prevention locally, regionally, nationally, and now Internationally as she will be co-hosting the event, “We Believe” in Canada. She has led rallies as a part of a Youth-Led Prevention Networks’ Advisory Council event hosting the 2020 & 2021 digital rallies that both reached over 10,000 people each time.  The rally reaches thousands to celebrate that the majority of youth are not using any substances of any kind. Jade is also working as a social media influencer on a positive mental health campaign called Be Present.  She has been a Student Ambassador for the Start Talking program and she shared her message to Religious Leaders and Political Officials at the United Nations in partnership with the Foundation for a Drug Free World and will go back again.

She will expand her work to promote Diversity & Inclusion in political affairs and in the media as a Latina woman.
