Tim Ryan is known as A&E’s Dope Man and a substance abuse interventionist. Jennifer Gimenez-Ryan is a world-renowned model, actress, substance abuse counselor and reality TV star. Now over 14 years sober, Jennifer has used the story of her recovery to help others. She has appeared in a variety of shows related to rehab as well as the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
These two are not your “typical” celebrity couple in Hollywood. Not only are they famous and in active recovery, both are proactive in changing lives- sometimes even helping to save them. Tim and Jenn speak to audiences all over the world. Whenever possible, they travel and work together during public speaking engagements. They inspire their audiences to live a more fulfilling, passionate and purposeful life.
A tireless advocate for long-term recovery, Tim Ryan is no stranger to addiction. Despite a successful business career, Tim found himself in the grips of heroin and was eventually sentenced to seven years in prison for drug-related convictions. It was behind bars that Tim got clean and sober.
“Six months after I was released from prison, as a direct result of my own heroin addiction, my 20-year-old son, Nick–who I paved the way to use deadly drugs–died of an overdose.
“I take responsibility for his death.
“I will spend the rest of my life trying to prevent that from happening to another addicted person or parent.”
It was in prison that Tim found recovery—and a passion to help others. He is best known as “The Hope Dealer.” It is his mission to prevent addiction issues in others and inspire and change in the hearts of those people already addicted. Tim speaks the language of solutions in the midst of an opioid epidemic that is killing hundreds of people in the United States every single day.
